13 July 2007A dual disorder is a severe problem because the person affected is gripped by both, a dependency on drug or alcohol and a psychological disorder. This condition is known by its other names like Co-morbid disorders, Co-occurring disorders, Concurrent disorders, Co-morbidity or Dual disorders. It is often wrongly confused with a Jekyll and Hyde syndrome but rather the problems are magnified and dependent on each other up to a certain level because of the existence of two factors as opposed to just a mental disorder or just an addiction.
